Programming
I've been programming computers since I discovered BASIC on the family Commodore 64 when I was a kid. I studied Computer Science at the University of Adelaide and graduated in 2005.
These days I do lots of PHP, Go, JavaScript, SQL and HTML. In my time I've also done Python, Java, Perl, VBScript, ColdFusion, and dabbled in a bit of C.
I'm always working on new web projects. Here are some that I've done outside of my paid work:
- Adelaide Vegans: a community (website has since been overshadowed by FB group of the same name)
- Esperanto Links: originally planned to be all kinds of links, but I only did YouTube channels in the end.
- Community translations of Duolingo stories: a means for translating the Duolingo stories (which are basically the best part of Duolingo) into languages other than the handful that they offer.
Right now I'm working on a system for learning languages through comprehensible input (somewhat similar to Readlang and LingQ).
I'll add more links as I the projects I'm working on approach a useful state :)
